Biblical Doing
True faith is shown not just by hearing God's Word, but by obeying it in daily life with compassion, humility, and holiness.
- Listen Carefully, React Slowly: Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger—because a rash spirit hinders God's righteousness (vv. 19–20).
- Receive God’s Word with Humility: Put away moral filth and receive the implanted Word, which has the power to save and transform (v. 21).
- Be a Doer, Not Just a Hearer: Don’t deceive yourself by merely listening to the Word—real faith is active and obedient (vv. 22–25).
- Real Religion Guards the Tongue: Unchecked speech exposes empty religion; self-control begins with the mouth (v. 26).
- True Faith Shows in Compassion and Holiness: God-honoring religion is visible: caring for the vulnerable and remaining unstained by the world (v. 27).
