Biblical Doing
Our everyday conduct and conversations should reflect the grace and wisdom of the gospel, especially toward outsiders.
- Lead with Justice and Accountability: Masters and leaders must treat others fairly, knowing they too are under the authority of the Lord in heaven. (v. 1)
- Pray Persistently and Watchfully: Believers are called to maintain a steadfast, alert, and thankful prayer life. (v. 2)
- Pray for Gospel Opportunities: Paul urges the church to pray for open doors and clarity in sharing the mystery of Christ—even while he is in chains. (vv. 3–4)
- Live Wisely Toward Outsiders: Christians should conduct themselves with wisdom, making the most of every opportunity to reflect Christ. (v. 5)
- Speak with Grace and Discernment: Our speech must be gracious and well-seasoned—truthful, tasteful, and tailored to each person we engage with. (v. 6)
