The Ministry

In His conversation with Nicodemus, Jesus teaches that entry into God’s kingdom requires spiritual rebirth by the Spirit, not merely religious heritage.

  • Rebirth is Necessary — No one can see or enter the kingdom of God without being born from above (John 3:3–8). Religion, morality, and heritage are insufficient.
  • Rebirth is Grounded in the Cross — Just as the serpent was lifted up in the wilderness, Christ was lifted up so that believers might receive life (John 3:14–15).
  • Rebirth Flows from God’s Love — God gave His only begotten Son so that whoever believes would not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16–18).
  • Rebirth Demands a Response — Belief brings life; unbelief leaves one under condemnation (John 3:18). There is no spiritual neutrality.
  • Rebirth Produces Christ-Exaltation — The evidence of new life is a decreasing self and an increasing Christ (John 3:30).

B.O.R.N.

  • B - Believe in the Lifted-Up Son. True rebirth begins with saving faith, which is an active, desperate reliance on Christ's finished work on the cross rather than your own religious resume or good intentions. Am I depending on my own moral achievements and church involvement, or am I resting fully in Christ alone?
  • O - Open Your Heart to the Spirit. Rebirth is a sovereign, divine work of the Holy Spirit; you cannot manufacture the wind, but you must not actively resist or quench its promptings. Yield to conviction, and understand that while reformation changes external habits, regeneration changes your fundamental nature.
  • R - Repent and Come to the Light. Rebirth invariably moves a person out of the shadows of hiding and into absolute transparency, bringing hidden sins and motivations into the open. Remember that in the economy of grace, light exposure is not about punitive punishment; it is entirely about healing and purification.
  • N - New Life that Exalts Christ. The daily, lived-out trajectory of a reborn heart is the intentional rejection of the endless treadmill of personal branding and self-promotion. We must actively seek to decrease our own self-rule so that Christ's will, Word, and reputation steadily expand in our careers, families, and inner lives.
